Find the ruling. Read the full text.

Savion finds the court decisions that bear on your question and reads their full text at the source, data.rechtspraak.nl. The answer names, for every decision, the court, the date and the ECLI number, with a link to the decision itself.

How it works

  1. 1

    You ask your question

In plain language, with no search terms or legal jargon.

  2. 2

    The agent searches for decisions

Relevant decisions and their ECLI numbers are found on rechtspraak.nl and in Dutch law reports such as NJ, JAR and RvdW.

  3. 3

    The full text is fetched

Every decision found is read in full from data.rechtspraak.nl, not from a summary or from a model's memory.

  4. 4

    The answer cites the source

For each decision the court, the date, the ECLI number and the link, next to the statute articles that go with it.

Which case law

Every decision published on rechtspraak.nl, from every Dutch court:

  • Supreme Court (Hoge Raad)
  • courts of appeal (gerechtshoven)
  • district courts, including the subdistrict court (kantonrechter)
  • Central Appeals Tribunal (Centrale Raad van Beroep)
  • Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal (College van Beroep voor het bedrijfsleven)
  • Administrative Jurisdiction Division of the Council of State (Raad van State)

Also

  • EU case law of the Court of Justice and the General Court, through EUR-Lex.
  • German federal case law, such as the Bundesgerichtshof, the Bundesverfassungsgericht and the Bundessozialgericht, through rechtsinformationen.bund.de.
  • The law itself: Dutch statutes from wetten.overheid.nl, EU legislation from EUR-Lex, and US state codes from Savion's own index.

What Savion does not do

  • Savion does not invent ECLI numbers. If the agent finds no decision, the answer says so, and says what was searched.
  • Savion does not replace a lawyer. The answer is sourced legal information, not advice on your case.
